Korah Jo

It has been a crazy couple of weeks.  October and November have been busy with family photo shoots, my nephew Jace Greggory being born, the Women's Assistance League's Gift Mart in Marshalltown where I sold my photography and a wedding shoot!  It has been an exciting couple of weeks, but I was left without much time to blog.  I have a lot to blog about so be sure to check back often.  One of the family shoots I did in October was with Jason and Kristen Robinson and their daughter Korah Jo.  I had a great time taking pictures of them in Mt.Vernon.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from that shoot.

This one is a favorite!  Lily and Korah Jo are cousins and they are going to love having this picture when they are older.

Reyna, Emmy and Dakota

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to take pictures of three fun and hilarious sisters.  Reyna, Emmy and Dakota were so much fun to take pictures of; they cracked me up during the whole photo shoot.  Reyna is my sister-in-law Amber's little sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.  Reyna and her sisters wanted have some pictures taken to give their grandparents for Christmas, and I was so excited that they asked me to take them.  My friend Erin and I went to the new sculpture garden in Des Moines for the shoot, and here are some of my favorites.

Engagement: Jade and Merlin

I had so much fun taking pictures of Jade and Merlin in downtown Iowa City.  Jade and Merlin are getting married in November, and I am pretty dang excited to be the second shooter for their wedding.  They booked my friend Erin with The Locket to shoot their wedding, and I was super pumped when Erin asked  me to help.

Engagement - Greg and Tracey

I've known Greg for as long as I can remember. Our families have been friends for many years, and I have so many great memories of spending time with the Adams. It was such a joy and honor to take Greg and Tracey's engagement pictures, and I can't wait to take pictures for their wedding! Greg and Tracey met at Iowa, so of course we had to take pictures in some of the spots where it all began. Thanks for a great day of shooting guys! Erin and I will see you in May for the wedding!

Baby Jace

My brother Brandon and his wife Sarah are expecting their first baby at the end of October. They are having a boy, and I am so excited to have a nephew! This weekend our families got together for a shower for Brandon, Sarah and Jace. Before the shower I was able to take a few pictures of Sarah, who looks pretty dang amazing for being 8 months pregnant! How amazing will it be when Sarah and Brandon can share these photos with Jace. This summer I had the opportunity to take pictures of William. This was my first family shoot, and I was pretty nervous. Luckily William's grandma, Denise, is a friend and co-worker of mine at Cornell. They were so laid back and easy going during the entire shoot, which helped calm my nerves. It was so much fun hanging out with Denise and her family on the Ped Mall in Iowa City. Here are few shots from that day.

Eventhough William lives in California he is a true Iowa boy at heart, he loves his toy trucks and tractors!
