I had the pleasure of meeting Mark and Amanda in June, and I have enjoyed getting to know them over the last month. The three of us ventured to downtown Iowa City for their engagement shoot. It has been a rainy and humid summer so far, and I was happy that we ended up having beautiful weather the day of their session. It is of course always fun for me to take pictures for my friends and family, but I really love it when I am able to meet couples and learn all about them and their relationship. I never get tired of hearing about how a couple met and how they got engaged. Hearing my client's stories and creating a relationship with them is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Thank you Mark and Amanda for letting me be apart of your story.

Tom and Cheryl
I have known Tom and Cheryl for many years. Cheryl was one of my favorite high school teachers. Tom and Cheryl celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in March and wanted to have some pictures taken in honor of this momentous occasion. I had a great time during our photo session. Tom and Cheryl have beautiful loving and fun relationship with each other. I hope to be so lucky some day.

Italia!
Holy cow it has been awhile since my last blog post! May and June have been filled with photo shoots, moving and trips to Italy! I speant ten days in Italy with three girlfriends, and we had the most AMAZING time. If you haven't been to Italy I would highly reccomend going. We rented a car, which provided us with some pretty funny stories, and went wherever our hearts desired. Tuscany was by far my favorite place. Here are a few pictures from the trip and I will post more soon. If you can't tell I was a little bit obsessed with food, especially the gelato...yum!

Wedding - Greg & Tracey
Greg and Tracey were married on May 8th in Chicago, and it was a beautiful day that I'm so glad and honored to have been a part of. I have known Greg and his family for many many years, and I have enjoyed getting to know Tracey over the last two years. They are a beautiful couple inside and out, and their love for each other and their family and friends radiated from them all day long. My good friend Erin with The Locket came down to Chicago and shot with me. I love when Erin and I are able to shoot together, and hopefully we'll get opportunities to do more weddings together. Click here to see Erin's photos from the wedding day and from the Crazy Booth!! Thank you Greg and Tracey for letting Erin and I capture your wedding day!
Tracey was an absolutely stunning bride!
On the way to the reception Tracey and Greg stopped to surprise Tracey's grandmother who couldn't attend the ceremony. It was such a touching moment and Tracey's grandma was so surprised! This is one of my favorite pictures from that day.
Tracey and Greg are one of the most laid back fun loving couples I know. Tracey was so giggly while Erin and I were taking pictures of her and Greg, it was so cute!
Have a wonderful week!
Minda
