Lindsey and Dan ~ Engagement Sneak Peak

I can't wait to photograph Lindsey and Dan's Iowa City wedding next June.  We had so much fun together on Sunday during their engagement session.  Lindsey and Dan are so down to earth and easy to be around, I feel like I've known them forever instead of just a few months.  Enjoy your sneak peak and I hope that we see each other again before next June!

Lindsey and Dan's daughter Hayden joined us for a few pictures.  How cute is she! I LOVE her curly hair.

Michelle + Tim

I'm so excited to preview Michelle and Tim's engagement session; I think Michelle and I have been planning and talking about this session for at least a good two months.  It could also be because Tim, Michelle, and I are all roommates. :)  Our life is like an episode of Three's Company, except we don't have a crazy landlord, and there is only one single roommate....me. :)  Michelle and Tim are great friends, and I have loved getting to know them even better over the past year and a half.  Their relationship is full of love, laughter, respect and happiness for each other and they life they share together.  I can't wait to photograph their wedding next June!  Tim and Michelle - you're the greatest!!

Bring on the snow!

I can't remember the last time I had a true "snow day."  I got so much photo editing done and even found time to bake some cookies and have a dance party in my kitchen. :)  I tried a new recipe from my family cookbook, which by the way is the greatest cookbook ever.  I made crazy oatmeal cookies with dried cranberries and cinnamon chips.  They are DELICIOUS!

Here is the recipe:

2 sticks butter
1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups flour

Add in dried cranberries and cinnamon chips or whatever you like. :)

Cream butter and brown sugar.  Mix in honey and vanilla.  Mix in eggs.  Fold in dry ingredients and your choice of add ins.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

So good! Go bake some right now!

Alison & Ryan Part II

Alison and Ryan were so much fun to photograph.  I was excited to have my first winter photo session, and Alison and Ryan's excitement for having their engagement pictures taken in the winter helped pump me up even more.  The ped mall in Iowa City was the perfect setting for our morning photo shoot.  We were able to easily pop inside for a few shots when we needed to warm up.  Alison and Ryan ended their session with a snow ball fight, the perfect ending for a perfect morning.
