Noah Alan - 6 Months

Noah is my oh so cute and adorable nephew.  My family was together in Marshalltown last month so I took the opportunity to snap some 6 month photos.  Like his 3 month photos, Noah decided to be very serious for the camera and not smile, I guess he is working on his model face.

Clough Family Session

Last weekend I had a fun photo session with the Clough Family.  Thank goodness for gazebos, because as soon as we headed out to start our session it started to rain.  One thing I've learned as a photographer is that you should always have a plan B, and it is important to go with the flow.  Despite the brief rain shower we had a great morning, and little Rowan "worked" it for me at the end of the session.   Thank you Clough family for inviting me take pictures of your beautiful family.  I hope you enjoy your preview.

July Family Sessions

I love photographing families.  It is so much fun getting to know each family, their personalities, their quirks, how they interact with each other.  When photographing my clients one of my goals is to capture their personalities.  One of the greatest compliments I can receive from a client is when they tell me they love their pictures, and that I was able to really capture who they are as a family.

Here are the highlights from some of my July family sessions.

Baby Kate : Iowa City Family and Child Photographer

The beautiful baby Kate is the daughter of my friend Jake and his wife Erin.  Jake and I have been friends since high school, and have shared many a good time together.  Memories of lat night chemistry study sessions and going to see Kenny Rogers at the nearby casino come to my mind. :)  I think one of my favorite parts of being a photographer is capturing all the special times in the lives of my friends.  Not only do I get to share in the moment with them, but I get to capture it so they can remember it forever.  Kate is cuter than cute, and I still can't get over how much hair she has.  YES, she was born with that much hair!
