June Photo Sessions: Iowa City Photographer

The past month has been a whirlwind of family gatherings, a trip to DC and lots of photo sessions.  I've been doing my best to stay one top of everything and have neglected my blog.  I promise to make up for it!  I had the pleasure of doing lots of maternity and family sessions for some good friends.  In May I had a session in Iowa City with the gorgeous Mindy.  Mindy and I met back in October of 2009 when she was a student at Salon Professionals, and were friends instantly.  Here are some of my favorites from Mindy's maternity session.  Congratulations Mindy and Rich, I can't wait to meet Ella Ferne.

Last weekend I was back in Marshalltown for my nephew's baptism, it was such a special weekend.  While I was home I had a mini session with my long time friend Lisa and her ADORABLE family.  Lisa and I have been friends since elementary school.  She is one of my closest friends and I love her and her husband Tyler dearly.  Lisa and Tyler are expecting their second baby in July, and I was so so excited when she asked me to take pictures of her growing belly.

Ashley & Kass are Married Part 2: Iowa City Wedding Photographer

As promised, but not as soon as I had hoped, here are a few more of my favorites from Kass and Ashley's wedding on May 14.  I thought this first picture was very fitting, seeing that it rained all day.  But we did not let that stop us!

The bridal party was so much fun and braved the cold and rain for a few quick pictures outside after the ceremony.

This was such a touching moment between Ashley, her dad and sister.  Cut to me, the photographer, in the corner completely tearing up as I thought about my father.  I'm such a sap!

Kass & Ashley are Married! : Iowa City Wedding Photographer

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck.  Ashley and Kass's wedding day was overflowing with good luck, because it rained all day long!  Ashley and Kass didn't let the weather ruin their beautiful outdoor wedding at Lake Macbride; it was the perfect day.  I have enjoyed getting to know Ashley and Kass over the last couple of months, they are a sweet and fun loving couple.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day.  Here is a little preview of Ashley and Kass's wedding day, I'm sure I"ll be posting more soon. :)

Wedding season has begun!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of second shooting for the fabulous Erin Kirchhoff of The Locket Photography.  The day went off without a hitch!  I'm so excited that the wedding season has begun, man I love my job!  Here are a few pictures from Emily and Michael's wedding day.
